What I Offer
I offer both workshops, personal coaching, and group coaching aimed at helping busy people define and align their goals, as well as design a plan for their sports season that optimizes their success.

I organize workshops that are open to the public, as well as design workshops for specific individual needs. For customized workshops, either call me at 970-443-4307, or email me at don.mcgrath@findyourgroovecoaching and I will work with you and provide a proposal. The rates for custom workshops vary based on your needs, and will be quoted in the proposal.

I also work 1:1 as a personal coach to help you define your goals clearly and come up with a plan for your sports season.

It is my philosophy that we need to set our sports goals in the context of all our other life goals, so I like to start clients with exercises that get alignment of their sports goals and all their other goals. If your sports goals are incongruent with other things you are trying to achieve, you are likely to be frustrated and perform more poorly than you desire.

When working on the plan for your sports season, we will look at where you are in terms of physical fitness, mental fitness, diet, technical skills, planning, and execution. Based on significant research, it is my philosophy that we achieve our best results when we work from our stengths. We will therefore craft a plan that focuses on the elements of training that you like most, while managing those you like to avoid.

In general, a 1:1 coaching engagement begins with a free session where we will evaluate the fit of my services to your needs. After this, the engagement involves several sessions either in person or by phone where we perform exercises that result in a plan for your season. The number and length of these sessions depends on availability and complexity of your goals, and likely will be complete within a month of weekly one hour sessions. These sessions are followed by follow-up phone sessions lasting 45 minutes, typically 3 times per month. These weekly sessions will focus on helping you to overcome obstacles you are facing in your training and execution, and help you maneuver around them. About once every three months we will review your plan and where you are against the plan we made. The fee for the engagement described is $300 per month. The engagement can be for as little as three months or as long as you like. To make this a zero for you, after the first month you decide whether our work was worth full fee. If not, you pay me what you think it was worth.
